Where Listening Connects Us
SPACE21 is a platform for urgent listening, connecting people through sound, voice, and music. We treat listening as an active, creative, and political act, one that fosters empathy, dialogue, and transformation across cultures and borders.
Our flexible, artist-led network brings together artists, researchers, and communities through performances, residencies, workshops, and fieldwork. These projects explore listening as both an art form and a tool for responding to urgent issues like migration, inequality, the climate crisis, and cultural erasure.
Rooted locally but connected globally online, SPACE21 supports underrepresented voices and works in contexts with limited resources and visibility. Whether through sound art, oral history, or traditional music, we invite people to listen to each other, to the land, to the past, and to possible futures.
We believe listening can be a movement: a response to a noisy world, a method of care, and a path toward solidarity. Join us, as an artist, organiser, listener, or partner, in shaping more inclusive, connected, and compassionate futures through sound.
